Hello!

I have two main modes; consume and create. These two modes toggle back and forth, working an a in harmonious balance, guiding me and my curiosity through the seasons.

Consume: If we meet at place I’ve never been, I’ll tell you right away that I won’t be able to make eye contact till I’ve checked out every detail of these new surroundings. If I visit your studio, I’ll likely touch every object and ask you its origin story. I’m fascinated by acute objects, the pattern of people, the formation of memories. What excites me is the tone a space, or even a modest lamp, can set.

Create: I start each day with a coffee and my notebook. Before my brain warms up, I let my inner thoughts have their way with the page. A mix of drawings and free-writing usually come first. Then stories and lists and designs take shape. I enjoy working with my hands, problem solving on paper, and then working with the materials around me.

I like to work with found objects, memories of our past, and people who are curious. Merging themes and delivering designs with a bit of nostalgia to them. I enjoy working in most mediums and love the innovative overlap by merging unlikely methods.

I am currently working at frog Design in SF as an industrial designer and art director.
